National Day of Service
In 2008, the Loyola Alumni Association began hosting an annual National Day of Service. Each April, alumni are encouraged to give back to their communities through a variety of volunteer opportunities. Past locations in Chicago have included the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Poder Learning Center & the National Museum of Mexican Art, the Howard Area Community Center, the Chicago Jesuit Academy, and the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Across the country, Loyola alumni have served at sites such as the Ballona Wetlands in Los Angeles, St. Mary's Food Bank in Phoenix, and Sara D. Roosevelt Park in New York City.
