B.G. Gross Compositions
B.G. Gross, Ph.D., held several positions at Loyola from the 1960s to the 1990s: university organist, adjunct professor of fine arts, and Director of the Collegium Musicum. During his tenure, Gross composed several songs and masses for the university. Among these include the Loyola Centennial Mass, a Loyola Mass, "Loyola's Song," "Loyola U," and "All Hail Maroon and Gold," on which he collaborated with Peggy Skinner, Assistant Director of the Centennial Program, and John Borgard, Director of the Centennial Program, to compose a song that reflected Loyola's position as an urban university.
