V.R. Lang
V.R. (Violet Ranney “Bunny” Lang, was a close friend of Alison Lurie and Edward Gorey and when Lang died of cancer in 1956 at the age of 32, Lurie published V.R. Lang: A Memoir with a cover by Gorey (1959). In 1975, Lurie reprinted the memoir with a collection of V.R. Lang’s Poems & Plays including Lang’s two plays produced at the Poets’ Theatre, Fire Exit and I Too Have Lived in Arcadia.
