Proofs are provided courtesy of the Edward Gorey Charitable Trust. Gorey often discreetly signed his covers. Anchor did not have a consistent practice of identifying the artist and/or the designer of the covers. Sometimes the names are on the verso of the title page, sometimes on the back cover, sometimes with a small signature, sometimes not at all.
